Finance Ministry says India well-positioned to sustain growth

India’s economic expansion is anticipated to decelerate to 7.35% in the July-September quarter, a decline from the 7.8% increase observed in the preceding three-month period, influenced by a softening in commercial operations, according to the monthly economic report disseminated by India’s Finance ministry. This assessment is derived from the Department of Economic Affairs’ “nowcasting” model, initially presented in the Economic Survey 2025-26. The report indicated that India's economy is favorably situated to maintain its growth trajectory through FY27 notwithstanding challenges stemming from geopolitical tensions, energy volatility, and global financial tightening. The growth is supported by resilient domestic demand, vigorous industrial and services performance, and structural reforms.
