The key equity barometers traded flat in early trade. Nifty opened at 24472 and hit a high of 24473 in first half hour of trade. Nifty 50, Nifty Auto and Nifty Bank shares advanced. At 09:30 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, down 131.27 points to 77,835.08. The Nifty 50 index 0 points or remained flat to 24,435.95. The broader market outpaced the frontline indices. The BSE 150 MidCap Index inched up 0.17% and the BSE 250 SmallCap Index moved higher by 0.27%. The market breadth was encouraging. On the BSE, 1292 shares advanced and 858 shares declined. A total of 178 shares were unchanged. Nifty 50 index remained flat. The index has risen slightly by 0.93% in last one month and posted modest losses of 0.21% over last one year. Jio Financial, up 2.75%, led the losers followed by Apollo Hospitals, adding 2.50% and Bajaj Finance, edging up 1.83%, respectively. Out of 50 index constituents, 0 are reporting loss today. Nifty Auto index remained flat. The index has climbed 8.83% in last one month and posted strong gains of 23.08% over last one year. Hero Motocorp, gaining 2.08%, led the losers followed by Bosch, inching higher 2% and Tube Investments, adding 1.58%, respectively. Out of 15 index constituents, 0 are reporting loss today. Nifty Bank index remained flat. The index has posted modest losses of 0.42% in last one month and edged higher by 5.16% over last one year. IndusInd Bank, up 0.90%, led the losers followed by Punjab Natl.Bank, up 0.81% and Federal Bank, edging up 0.72%, respectively. Out of 14 index constituents, 0 are reporting loss today. In NIFTY500, Aditya Infotech is the top gainer today, advancing 4.99% to Rs 4094. The counter has rallied 267.30% in last one year. It recorded an average volume quantity of 11694.67 in last five sessions compared to 12452 over last one month. Asian markets recorded robust advances on Thursday. China’s Shanghai composite is ahead by 0.51%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is marginally higher by 0.22%. Japan’s Nikkei 225 is substantially higher by 1.72%.
