HDFC Bank Limited announced that the Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Anup Bagchi as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, effective October 27, 2026, succeeding Sashidhar Jagdishan, whose tenure concludes October 26, 2026. Bagchi, currently MD & CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, was also appointed as an Additional Director of HDFC Bank, effective October 2, 2026, for a period until shareholder approval.
